A BIG Difference for BC 2019:
Notes from Using Behavioural Insights in Practice

BIG Difference BC brings together Behavioural Insights (BI) experts from academia and the non-profit sector and policy experts from all levels of government, Crown corporations, and industry to create a strong collaborative network that can work across boundaries to use behavioural insights to solve policy challenges in BC.

For our Vancouver 2019 conference, we will be welcoming Professor Dilip Soman from the University of Toronto’s Behavioural Economics in Action at Rotman (BEAR) as our keynote speaker.

 Call for Submissions

We want to hear from you! Our afternoon session will include several 15-minute lightning talks as well as a poster session during the reception. We are inviting a wide range of submissions about recent behavioural insights projects carried out by city, provincial, or federal governments; Crown corporations; non-profit organizations; private-sector companies; or other organizations. Please see previous panel talks for examples. Multiple submissions per organization/person are permitted, although we will aim for a variety of presenters.

Submissions should be about using behavioural insights to nudge people for good—for the benefit of the decision-maker and/or society!

Please include the following in your submission:

  • Submission title

  • Author names and affiliations

  • 500-word abstract

  • Indicate whether you wish to be considered for a lightning talk or a poster.
